Vicky Donor (2012)

A fresh movie with a fresh movie concept, and managed to put a smile on my face at the end. This movie attacks this concept of sperm donation with such great wit, and perspective that it really makes you think and ponder about your own preconceived opinions about certain things. 2 new faces as well and a return of an old face. Ayushman, Yami and Annu.

Why you should watch it?
This movie encourages you to think!! I dont want to spoil the surprise for you. A bit of reality, mixed with a bit of humour, emotions and most importantly, good editing. I didnt get bored and I kept on wondering what's going to happen. The cast is really wonderful. Ayushmann, his mom, his grandmom,  his neighbours, his sperm doctor and his first love, Yami. It all looked so real and natural.

Why you should not watch it?
Tough question to answer. I say watch. It will definitely put a smile on your face at the end of it all.

Bol Bachchan(2012)

Really, sometimes comedy is good for the soul. Laugh, laugh and just laugh. That's all Bol Bachchan aspires to do. The film doesnt want you to think about anything else. Just forget all your life problems, leave them at home and just laugh!! I guess the film did good in that aspect. It made me laugh man. Ajay Devgan, Prachi Desai, Abhishek Bachan and the very beautiful Asin make a very good cast indeed. I guess you dont really need to even think about the story line, because they make you laugh at every possible opportuniy.

Why this movie works?
You just feel like laughing whenever Ajay Devgan acts, talks and just does something. Abhishek to some extent. Music is ok. But comedy is king here.

Why this movie will not work?
I dont see why. Unless the audiences want sophisticated and intelligent comedy, maybe it wont work. But come on, lets just laugh along and laugh at the simple things in life.

Cocktail (2012)

Sometimes I wonder why certain films are made, you know as in what goes on behind the scenes and what exactly is the thought process of the script writer and more importantly his motivation in writing this story.
Well, Deepika plays the role of rich man's neglected daughter, who wastes her lonely life on parties, sex and drugs. Saif plays the role of flirt who tries to strike up a conversation with every single hot girl he meets. And then there is sweet, soft and innocent Diana Penty, who is the game changer for Saif and Deepika with her very strong values that she applies to relationships. I guess this movie is ultimately about relationships and handling them

Why this movie is worth watching?
Diana Penty is a new face and she sort of does ok in her role as the Indian from India. Boman Irani and Dimple Kapadia are really good in their short roles. Deepika has become hotter. Saif, I guess is a natural actor.

Why this movie is not worth watching?
Hmmmm, it has a predictable ending. I hate it when I can predict the endings when the film just starts and I am proven right at the end of it. I want to be proven wrong some times.
